Gratitude enhances our emotional and physical well-being. It is the practice of focusing on what we have, noticing and appreciating the positives in our world.
Gratitude creates benefits such as: happiness; increased resilience; improved self-esteem; better quality sleep; lower stress; and more meaningful relationships.
Tips for practicing gratitude: slow down and be mindful of what you have to be grateful for; schedule time to journal your appreciation for what you have; focus on what you have and what is going well; recognise and acknowledge others and share your gratitude with them; and show gratitude by practicing generosity.
