2-year Mentoring
My role in the mentoring partnership is to support you as you move through the certification process. Your role is to be fully committed and present in the mentoring sessions and to use the space and relationship as a resource to grow and develop different perspectives.
Key to a successful mentoring programme is building a great foundation to work from.
Initially, we will ensure the following key components are in place:
- Having, and understanding, an overview of the essential elements of the certification programme
- Involvement in, and an understanding of, an induction and mentoring programme
- Regular, prioritised time, scheduled within the mentoring programme, for meaningful discussion including exploring and unpacking the standards, and aligning these with your everyday teaching practice
As we progress through the programme it will be vital that you are:
- Receiving positive critical feedback, supporting you to evaluate where you are in your teaching practice
- Regularly reflecting on Our Code Our Standards and aligning them with your everyday teaching practice
- Having collaborative discussions with your colleagues and mentor, enables you to hear others’ perspectives, and to receive feedback and support for your ideas
